Why Jose Mourinho’s worst nightmare could come true for Chelsea this season

It’s a miracle the pitch didn’t get crowded during Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Swansea City on Saturday, you know, given that three different teams were playing.

The best side on show at Stamford Bridge – and I’ll get this out of the way quickly – were the visitors. Swansea’s killer cocktail of speed and skill will surely horrify every opponent they face this season.

Jefferson Montero and Andre Ayew were devilishly good – as was Bafetimbi Gomis, when he could remember which foot to use. Seriously, they should never be underestimated.

Only once you put Swansea to one side, however, do you notice that the contest was really between two Chelsea teams. And worryingly for Jose Mourinho, neither of them alone can retain the title.
